Reviews
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Have always purchased Westinghouse. Some disappointing features with this model. The griller has been made of inferior materials and nowhere near as effective as previous models. The warming drawer is no longer available and for people who do cook, this was a great storage space. To have a large element at the front, customers have to purchase the more expensive model. To use a large stockpot, the large element has to be at front. We have only ever had Westinghouse stoves in almost 50 years of marriage and it appears that costs of the stove are increasing but the quality is falling. A few thoughts that you may like to take into consideration!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed I bought a new stove in September. It is the third Westinghouse stove I have had and I have found the quality of this new one is nowhere near the others. The racks in the oven are all very rough on the front edges and have scratched all my oven trays. The temperature of the hot plates are too high for the settings and pots won't stop boiling until you turn the knob nearly off. Also the knobs are all white which makes it hard to see if the plates are off or on. I have had to put black dots on them so I can see at a glance if they are on. I would not buy another Westinghouse stove again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but have encountered some problems We bought this because recommended by Choice Magazine. Instant heat on ceramic stove top is excellent. Room for improvement in design though. (1) When I use the grill, the grill handle regularly falls off. Very annoying. (2) The timer is marked at 10 minute intervals so I can't use it accurately when I need to boil ravioli for exactly 4 minutes. Also, the timer won't ring unless you turn it past 30 minutes, then back to the desired time. (3) If you pay to have this installed, make sure the installer removes all tools from the oven before turning it on. My installer didn't, and plastic covering the ceramic scraper tool was extremely difficult to remove from the enamel surface. No other problems encountered.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not recommend My landlord purchased this about 10 months ago. It does not cook evenly and just recently the glass shattered on the grill door.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor Design Sad that this ceramic top stove doesnt have all the features that the Westinghouse Apollo with radiant hotplate version does. The ceramic cooktop is all manual, timer etc and has no clock,. whereas the Apollo is all digital and has a clock. It also doesnt have a range of functions: rapid heat, fan bake,bake/pizza, base heat , defrost, fan grill, grill, maxi grill. Im also finding that the ceramic top seems to be really noisy (you can hear the grilling tray vibrating underneath). The timer is a waste of space. Buzzes once and turns off, so if your outside you have no chance of hearing it. On the plus side, it seems to be doing the job so far. Havent tried the oven with baked cakes etc. so hopefully the fan forced is ok.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't compare to my previous Westinghouse freest I have just replaced my Westinghouse freestyle with this stove, unfortunately it does not have the same features as my previous stove, only 2 shelves in oven I have had to purchase a third shelf. I am finding the oven is not cooking evenly, gets hotter in one corner I need to rotate food .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from not bad everything considered. I Bought this a few months ago and it works well so far , the only problem which I fixed myself was that in the oven the heater coils at the back were shifting due to the heat they put out and the holding brackets were flexing , so much so that they were hitting the oven fan causing a lot of noise and would have stoped the fan or destroyed the motor if not fixed . The solution is simple , dont go for the warranty as it would be to much trouble , just take the cover plate in the oven off and using some tin snips just trim the fan blades at the end , problem fixed , shore you might lose some air curculation , so what , you still have plenty to cook with and you still have a great oven apliance . I recomend this apliance as a good buy and well worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy with it (so far) After a month I am still happy with it. It does everything that I was expecting it to do. It has been designed value for money. Sheet metal panels are a little thin in comparison to my previous stove (St George) same for the oven seal. I don't think it will last as long. I wish it had a star rating similar to fridges. Would I recommend it ? Yes.
