Induction cooking
Enjoy the safety and efficiency of induction cooking. Almost twice as fast as gas or electric in transforming energy into heat, you'll save not only time but money too. What's more, induction cooking only generates heat in the cookware, so surfaces around the pot are cool to touch. Therefore the cooking environment remains cooler and safer. Reviews
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Keeps switching off I bought this in February and installed it as I'm an electrician. Once beginning to use it we noticed it kept on switch off and bringing up E7 error code. Talking with other clients who have Westinghouse induction cooktops they have the same issue. We had the local service agent come out and he said, it is due to the fact it hasn't been installed as per the manual. I asked him what he meant and he said. There has to be a 5mm gap under the bench top for it to breath. I ask him what kitchen has he every seen with a 5mm gap. He hasn't. So to Westinghouse - this is a design failure. Since when do you have to design your kitchen around the cooktop. We where never told when purchasing the item and the hole had already been cut out in the stone top before I went to install it. I've installed a lot of induction cooktops and only Westinghouse has this design flaw. I've attached a photo to show you what we have to do to use the cooktop and I've had enough.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks great but doesnt do the job I specifically bought this hob because of the element sizes and a great review by Consumer NZ. It has never worked properly from the outset. The large middle element, where I would normally do most of my cooking and frying, doesnt heat properly. Ive tried various different pans. Same problem. When I use two or more elements the power surges or "shares" resulting in an uneven heat. Had an electrician out to check installation which was per instructions. Called service company who came twice and said it was working properly. If this is the best Westinghouse can do I would steer clear of this cooktop. The backup service is non existent and non standard size of hob makes replacement with another brand impossible at time of writing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy We have had the cooktop installed for just over 2 months and have experienced the same issues as the other reviews. However the cooktop has now ceased to function, callout has said the same installation 'error' or poor design as we haven't had an issue with other cook tops. Now they say 5 chips are dead and they are 300-500 each. Avoid this product at all costs.
